NJ Symposium Gets High Marks and State Full Steam Ahead on Legalization
The states first session of the marijuana symposium http://www.njcannabissymposium.com was held with very high marks and grades from investors and business entrepreneurs. The interest was far beyond what anyone thought and it was a sell out. The next session is in march about finance. You know there were some serious players as tickets are $250. That pritty much excludes just curious and makes the market appeal of NJ opening like the gold rush out west in the early 1900's. Here is a time lime that is being seen as very possible. January 11-12: Bills A1348 and S830 introduced
January 16: Gov sworn in
Jan-March: Bills A1348 and S830 will undergo debate in their respective houses
Q1 2018: It will go thru NJ’s legislative process expeditiously – read more about NJ’s process here – http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/legislativepub/legprocess.asp
Late March – Bill approved by Senate and Assembly / Governor signs into law
Enactment immediately or within 45 days
Q2-Q3 2018: MED (Marijuana Enforcement Division) gets created / Rules & regulations begin to be drafted
Q4 2018: Regulations open for public comment and finalized
Q1-Q2 2019: Applications available
Q2-Q3 2019: Applications Reviewed / Licenses Awarded
Q3-Q4 2019: Operations begin
Q1 2020: Sales begin
